July 30th? Or was it the 29th? My birthday was on July 30th as well. I remember my 30th birthday very well. I took an afternoon road trip with a baguette sandwich, some olives and a half bottle of champagne and drove west until I found a stream passing under the highway. Parked the Jeep and hiked into the woods until I could no longer hear the road; to sit by (in) the stream and think about where I'd thought I'd 'be' at 30 ... and the wonders I had experienced already. Very heady times. Hope you don't mind me intruding on your thoughts ... Well, well, well.
